Parochial Vicar Father Carlos Flores

Fr. Carlos Flores is happy to be here at Sacred Heart Church and to work with everyone in the parish community.

Fr. Carlos was ordained on May 20, 2023, at 30 years old. He joined a historic group of seven men ordained together by the Diocese of San Bernardino. When he heard the Calling, he reaffirmed his priestly vision to prioritize bringing people into direct contact with God over administrative tasks. His spiritual path was heavily shaped by Father Javier Gonzalez and Father Martin Rodriguez. These “Guiding Lights” were mentors who  helped him navigate his discernment process to enter the seminary.

Pastoral Assignments

• Cathedral Vicar (2023–2026): Assigned immediately after his ordination to Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral.

• First-Year Growth: Expressed immense gratitude for the mentorship of his cathedral pastor and parish staff.

• Sacred Heart Palm Desert (2026–2029): Transferred by diocesan order and began a three-year term as Parochial Vicar on July 1, 2026.
