Parochial Vicar Reverend Tyler Tripp

The tallest priest in the diocese at 6' 8", Father Tyler Tripp was born in 1986 and grew up in Banning where his parents and two brothers still live. He first felt called to the priesthood in high school but was sure of one thing: he did not want to be a priest in California. God, however, had other plans and Fr. Tyler was ordained a priest of the Diocese of San Bernardino in 2015. He served for three years in the parish of St. John XXIII in Fontana and Rialto. He spent two years studying canon law at St. Paul University in Ottawa, Canada and completed his degree in June 2020. He now serves as a judge in the diocesan tribunal in addition to assisting at Sacred Heart parish. In his spare time, Fr. Tyler enjoys reading (especially G.K. Chesterton), watching old movies, and playing the banjo.
