About Fr. Roemer
Fr. Richard Roemer has been a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal since 1990. Ordained in 1998, he has served his congregation and the Church in a variety of services for the poor, works of evangelization, and formation. He guided the opening of a friary in London in 2000 and then served in the formation of young friars in New York and New Jersey for 7 years. He helped to initiate ministries such as the St. Francis Center for Youth in the Bronx, the St. Joseph’s Soup Kitchen in Harlem, and the St. Anthony Shelter for Renewal for homeless men in the Bronx. He served 3 terms as Vicar General of the CFRs, and he is currently serving in Comayagua, Honduras, directing the formation of postulants from Central and South America. He also enjoys preaching retreats and missions and accompanying people in spiritual direction.
